PARNASSUS, forwardly placed under steadying restraint and saving ground, drove through along the rail, came, through, a small opening to gain command and drew out under a drive- FRAN JR. assumed command at once,, established the pace: throughout, saving ground on the rail and held otv stubbornly when challenged. FIGHT A LITTLE stumbled, leaving the barrier, recovered quickly, but was put to pressure to gain a" forward position after five furlongs, came outside in the drive and finished with good energy. DARE DEVIL, forwardly placed early, dropped back down the backstretch, moved inside foe the drive, lacking racing room and finished stoutly. SMART CHOICE was sent up on the outside nearing the final quarter mile and closed stoutly. HUNTERS UNION moved in closest attendance of the page after a quarter mile, rallied to challenge the leader on the final turn and weakened. ETERNAL SIR was outrun. LITTLE LUCKY showed nothing.
