Stewards Rulings LINCOLN, Nebr., Aug. 27. The " stewards issued the following: ruling-under the date of Aug:. 26: "On the report of the official chemist of the Nebraska State Racing: Commission that the urine taken from the horse Shadore, winner of the fourth race on Monday, August 24, 1953, contained a drug of the nature of procaine, owner Mrs. N. Carrell and trainer Jack Carrell and all horses owned or trained by them are suspended for the balance of this meeting and their case is referred to the Nebraska State Racing-Commission for further action. Owner Mrs. N. Carrell and trainer Jack Carrell are ordered to remove their horses from the grounds immediately and during- the term of this suspension they shall be denied access to and the privileges of the grounds. "The horses affected by this ruling: are as follows : Isla, Reslam, Laura Red, Border Vintage, Flag Chance, Shadore and Rusty Chief. "The official finish is revised as follows: First, Gay Lorene; second, Smoky Bill; third, Swanee Boy; fourth, Times Act. "The disqualification in no way affects the mutuel pay-off." LINCOLN, Nebr., Aug. 27. The stewards issued the following rulings under date August 25: "At the request of owner-trainer Joe Threlkeld, permission is hereby granted for the sale of the four-year-old filly, Snow Cloud;- and the seven-year-old gelding Blue Fire to the Shamrock b Farm. By virtue of this ruling the above f named horses are hereby restored to good standing. "At the request of owner-trainer Joe Threlkeld, permission is hereby granted for the sale of the seven-year-old bay gelding, Big Ditch, to Edgar Rasmus-sen. By virtue of this ruling the above named horse is hereby restored to good standing. "At the request of owner-trainer Joe Threlkeld, permission is hereby granted for the sale of the eight-year-old gelding Don Good, to Wesley Bolen. By virtue of this ruling the above named horse is hereby restored to good standing." EDMONTON, Alta., Aug. 27. The Edmonton stewards issued the following ruling: "For careless riding in the fifth race August 22, jockey T. Stadnyk, who rode Loaf Mt., is fined the sum of 5." HAZEL PARK, Mich., Aug. 27. The board of stewards ruled Wednesday: "Jockey Arthur Monteiro is fined the sum of 5 for disobedience at the post on Baby Dear in the fifth race, August 24." SCARBOROUGH DOWNS, Scarborough, Me., Aug. 27. The stewards issued the following ruling here today: "Apprentice Rafael Tejada is hereby suspended for 10 racing days, effective August 27, 1953, through September 7, 1953, for allowing his mount Hazel Gold to crowd Surprised and Equipoisette after leaving the gate in the first race Tuesday, August 25, 1953. Apprentice jockey Tejada is denied the privileges of the grounds during racing hours during the term of his suspension." WHEELING DOWNS, Wheeling, W. Va., Aug. 27. The following ruling was issued by the stewards here today: "On the report of the chemist that the urine sample of Fly Demon, winner of the fourth rase, August 25, 1953, contained positive procaine, owner-trainer Okey Meredith is suspended for six months for violation of West Virginia rule of racing No. 272 which deals with the administration of a stimulant or drug to a horse. During the six months period the horse Fly Demon is also suspended and all other horses in owner-trainer Merediths possession will have to be disposed of or taken out of training. Owner-trainer Merediths case has been referred to the West Virginia Racing Commission. "Redistribution of the purse of the said fourth race is as follows: 1. Never. Amber; 2. No No Anna; 3. Man OBat-tle, and 4. Mighty Mite. The horse Lightdown owned by owner-trainer Meredith which finished fourth in the eighth race August 26, 1953, forfeits its share of the purse. Fourth money therefore goes to Bet Nebraska which finished fifth in the same race." CENTENNIAL RACE TRACK, Littleton, Colo., Aug. 27. The stewards issued the following ruling Wednesday: "For causing interference and careless riding after leaving the gate in the sixth race Tuesday, August 25, while astride Slave Trader, jockey Celestino Dominguez is suspended for five racing days. His suspension starts Friday, August 28, and jockey Domin-v guez will be eligible to accept mounts again Friday, September 4." ATLANTIC CITY, Mays Landing, L N. J Aug. 27. The Atlantic City " stewards today issued the following ruling: "Further entry of the mare Flaming Lady will be refused due to inconsistent racing. Owner Elmer C. Eastwood and trainer J. Yoncey Christmas are held blameless." Flaming Lady won a mile and a furlong race here Wedenesday in 1:52 after having been beaten 18 lengths while finishing last in 1:54 just six days previously. She raced under a ,000 claiming price on each occasion.
