Washington Handicap MayLmre 1 5 With Tom Fool Not Starting WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, HL, Aug. 27. With the Greentree Stables laan-dicap star, Tom Fool, officially declared from Washington Parks Labor Day wind-, up, the 70,000 handicap, racing secretary Frank E. Kilroe today saw the possibility of a field of 15 for the rich "miracle mile." Trainer John Gaver announced at Saratoga Springs, Wednesday that Tom Fool would be pointed strictly for the Sysonby Mile at Belmont Park on September 26. He said it would be unwise to send the handicap champion to Washington Park for such a "severe test" as the handicap, then bring him back for his expected date against Native Dancer in the Sysonby. Tom Fool is being trained expressly for the Sysonby, Gaver said. Weights for the Washington Park Handicap will be released on Friday.
