Dozen Starters Expected For Meadowland Tomorrow WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, HI., Aug. 27. Racing secretary Frank E. "Jim-my" Kilroe said today that he sees the possibility of a dozen starters for Saturdays 0,000 added Meadowland Handicap. The mile and three-sixteenths run is for three-year-olds and upward, and will climax the highly successful grass-course program at the Homewood meeting. Twenty were originally nominated for the Meadowland Handicap. Those likely to go in the twelfth running of the grass feature include Abbe Sting, winner of Arlington Parks Stars and Stripes and Laurance Armour Memorial Handicaps; Stan, recent Grassland Handicap victor, and Ruhe, who has the Equipoise Mile to his credili. Other Meadowland probables are Brush Burn and Vantage, second and third finishers in the Grassland; The Eagle, who ran second in the Armour; Jampol, Golden Trend, Smoke Screen, Sunglow, Dance Nsing, Picador and possibly Guy.
