GLIMMERGLASS, a sharp factor from the start, disposed of TAX FREE inside the stretch and gamely held PEACEFUL SOLUTION safe. A claim of foul against the rider of PEACEFUL SOLUTION for alleged crowding leaving the gate was not allowed. PEACEFUL SOLUTION raced in closest pursuit of the early leader to the furlong marker, but was unable to cope with the winner during the concluding strides. TAX FREE held sway to the stretch, then weakened. DESERT WIND II. lacked the necessary rally. YOUNG GANDER tired. MARSTON MOOR raced evenly. JERLOU failed to stay. CARETAKER moved up menacingly nearing the furlong marker, but weakened when punished. ANNIEANLOUISE was unable to keep up. OSAGIAN was outrun. LITTLE BUTTS gave way suddenly inside the stretch. PERICLEAN quit. WHIPPERSNAPPER never was prominent. FLAMENCO II. dropped back soon after the start. IMPROVEMENT and the others showed nothing. The latter assumed a clear lead after three furlongs and held on determinedly thereafter, just missing. WHITE CLIFF responded to brisk urging during the drive and steadily was wearing down the top ones. DOCEDOE, forced to take the complete overland route when starting her stretch bid, failed to make up appreciable ground when straightened. RAFFY lacked speed. SANCTUARY failed to attain the lead and tired. BLACK AND BLUE was rushed into contention soon after the start, then faltered as a result of his effort. HAM HOCKS had a rough trip. IMPERIAL LAMAR auit badly once displaced. STINGLING auit to a walk. WINNIE THE IMP alternated in pressing and. setting the early pace, assumed a commanding advantage after completing the final jump and steadily increased his margin, winning as his rider pleased. BENNET was sent into a contending position during the run down the backstretch, but was no match for the winner when the real test came. PINE SHOT failed to rally when subjected to brisk urging. MIELAISON tired. GLENCANNON was through early. ACTINIC was always outrun. SEA GLINT bobbled and fell at the first hedge. SORORITY MISS slipped through next to the inner rail to reach the lead at the head of the stretch, then held on willingly in a good effort. FLAPPER rallied too belatedly to seriously endanger the leaders. LITTLE LISA came to the outside for the drive, but was not good enough. NIRINGO moved up menacingly at the furlong marker, but faltered when punished. PUKKA LIL was unable to keep up. PROCTOR began sluggishly. SINGING GIRL, forced to take up slightly on the far turn, was unable to recover. WRITER never threatened. PREFER DAN was outrun. FLY WHEEL, slow to gain best stride, came to the complete outside to gain closer contention leaving the final turn, Wore down, the leader midway of the stretch and briskly drew clear. GAME CHANCE moved up boldly to gain near even terms for the lead inside the furlong marker, but was unable to withstand the challenge of the winner. DOMQUIL closed with a belated burst of speed and probably would prefer a longer distance. TRICK PILOT rallied too late to become an endangering factor. GIORGETTI, much used early, had little left. DIVING BOARD, unhurried when outrun early, was guided to the inside to reach closer contention on the near turn, took command with a rush after being straightened for the drive and maintained a safe advantage while in hand. FULL FLIGHT, forced wide on the final turn, came fast when clear, but could not seriously endanger the top one. PRIVACY failed to sufficiently respond when set down for the ultimate test. CATSPAW failed to attain the lead and tired. PAPER TIGER moved up menacingly nearing the furlong marker, but flattened when punished. NEXT PAGE secured ample racing room next to the inside rail to take command before a half mile, then shortened stride when challenged REMAND had no apparent excuse. The latter held a clear lead entering the stretch, shortened stride when punished and was unable to cope with the winner CONTY BAY raced forwardly placed to the stretch, then failed to respond when set down for the final test FIFE AND DRUM raced evenly through the late stages without mishap. SWOOP drifted out on the final turn while tiring. LAFOURCHE never threatened. ASSIGNMENT quit. SORAYO trailed throughout in a listless performance.
