Right Name, Wrong Person BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 24. — While reading an item a few days ago, James E. Hilt, secretary to Preston M. Burch, Brookmeade Farm Stable, noticed a reference to William Kuykendall, from Texas, making plans to enter the thoroughbred ranks. "Now, there was a man" mused Hilt, as his memories went back to the days when he was a member of the 104 Seabees, under the direction of Commander Kuykendall, and taking care of things in the Admiralty Islands of the South Pacific. "Ill have to get off a letter to my old commander and welcome him into racing" continued Hilt. No sooner said than done, and before a man could say Brookmeade a letter, recalling the old days in the Pacific, was en route to Kuykendall at Fort Worth. But like the saw about the slip twixt the cup and lip, the Texas Kuykendall is a different person. Nevertheless he appreciated Hilts welcome. .
