Timely Tip Being Prepped For Ohio Derby July 10 THISTLEDOWN, Warrensville, Ohio, May 24. — A. L. Birchs stakes-winning Timely Tip is a recent arrival in this area and is being prepped for the Ohio Derby, to be run at ThistleDown on July 10. Timely Tip was the leading two-year-old in the Cleveland area last season and won the Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn in March. Timely Tip was a starter in the Kentucky Derby and, although causing interference at the start, was very much in the contest until the final drive. .
