JERRYS BEST was steadily urged along to gain the advantage rounding into the backstretch, remained under pressure gradually drawing clear and continued willingly to the end. HARANGUE strongly reserved while racing well out in the track and, losing ground, swerved in when set down entering the stretch, then finished well despite the inexperienced handling. DONNA BOORSE, outrun for a half mile, closed with good late speed. SEER vied with JERRYS BEST on the outside, did not respond when urged after a half mile and gradually weakened. GREAT FUN was outrun and was steered wide into the stretch. NEW HAVEN quit Scratched— 17253 Ready to Wear, 109; 17726 Button Shoes, 120. Overweight— Billies Beam, 3 pounds.
