+ . . Goyamo to Battle Correlation Again Colts Who Have Met Six Times in Short Careers Will Seek Jersey Stakes GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 24. — Robert S. Lytles stretch-running Correlation and Woodvale Farms late-rallying Goyamo are scheduled to renew their bitter feud in Saturdays renewal of the 0,000 added Jersey Stakes at Garden State Park. * • The Jersey is a test at one mile and one-eighth, under penalty and allowance conditions, and is fashioned exclusively for the sophomores. Both Correlation, who finished a very close second to Hasty Road in the Preak-ness, and Goyamo, who wound up fourth in the field of 11, are scheduled to arrive today at the Camden course to prepare for Saturdays coveted prize. Correlation and Goyamo have been battling each other furiously ever since last fall, when they first measured strides against each other in the fabulously rich The Garden State at the Marlton Pike course. Next Met in Florida Derby Prep In that coveted fixture — "the richest horse race in the world" — Correlation and Goyamo came storming through the stretch heads apart, the Californian finally winning the place spoils back of the ill-fated Turn-to. Goyamo was a close third. They next met in an overnight event at Gulfstream Park. This was a prep for the Florida Derby on which both were taking dead aim. Both put on their usual thrilling exhibition of late speed, but this time the tables were turned, Goyamo finishing second behind Post Prandial, with Correlation at his withers in third place. A short time later they paraded postward in the Florida Derby and again they battled it out down the long home lane in sensational fashion. This time, Correlation was the victor, Goyamo was close on his heels. - On the first Saturday in May, both showed up at Churchill Downs for the historic Kentucky Derby, and this time Goyamo finished fourth, with Correlation trailing in the sixth slot. Their sixth encounter was in last Saturdays Preakness and their performances in that fixture still is fresh in the minds of turf fans everywhere.
