Track Absorbs Loss ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, May 24. — The doors on the starting gate in the stalls occupied by Hesperus and Brilyn G. in Saturdays ninth race failed to open and the management made a refund on all monies wagered on those two horses. However, they were not treated as scratches by the association. Frank Moore, director of operations here at Ascot Park, declared that the association would stand the loss rather than to refigure the pools and delay the large crowd on their way home.
