Won driving; second and third the same. TULIFINY, forwardly placed from the start, went to the front nearing the furlong marker and retained a clear advantage when fully extended. LADY BROWNIE was sent into the runner-up position entering the stretch, but was unable to overtake the leader when hard urged through the late stages. GEOMETRIC raced evenly through the final furlong without apparent mishap. POLLY WATTS tired when punished. RUM BUMBLE failed to stay. COOLHAWAHEE lacked the necessary rally. WEE BERN and MRS. CAESAR were outrun. DORIE began sluggishly. ANN-MAR quit. LIZZATESSA never was formidable. SPARKING STONE flashed brief speed, then faltered. MISS GOODIE and FAIR CITY never threatened. LEE CEE remained within easy striking distance of the early leaders, took command with a rush when shaken for the drive and, under adept handling, lasted to prevail over MUEZZIN. The latter, slow to gain best stride, responded readily when called upon for the. stretch run and closed with good energy. ROMAN TREAD raced "forwardly placed from the start, but was unable to cope with the top ones when the real test came. WHIRLING HOME rallied too belatedly to become an endangering factor. PERFORMANCE, much used early, had little left. CANNONADE came to the inside for the drive, but was not good enough. ASTRONAUT quit. VALIDON was outrun. HULL BLACK never menaced. NEJI was under steadying restraint while racing within easy striking distance of the early leaders, took command with a rush after completing the final hedge and drew clear while in hand. FULTON held sway to the stretch under energetic handling, was unable to withstand the challenge of the winner, but easily prevailed over the others. -SEA TERM, slew to settle into best stride, passed tiring horses when hard ridden through the late stages. CAMEE moved up menacingly leaving the final turn, but faltered when punished. SEMPER EADEM was unable to keep up. SPLEEN lacked speed. CURLY JOE failed to stay. ETERNAL SON quit. THE AMERICAN was extremely rank while racing forwardly placed early, tired badly during the run down the backstretch and was not unduly persevered with thereafter when hopelessly beaten. MISS WEESIE, never far back, disposed of CANADIANA when ready inside the stretch, and briskly drew clear. CANADIANA held sway to the furlong marker under steady rating, shortened stride when challenged thereafter and was unable to cope with the winner. SPINNING TOP closed with a belated burst of speed and appears ready for a creditable route effort. TINY REQUEST failed to stay while racing on the outside. HOME-MADE saved ground to no avail. The latter came fast after being straightened for the drive and steadily was wearing down the winner. EPONBUSH held a slight lead at the furlong marker, but shortened stride thereafter when punished. HIGH BUTTON closed with good courage after encountering interference during the early stretch run. CONNIES PAL tired. KAZ failed to stay. BLUE-SKIES was unable to keep up. SUMMER TAN raced in nearest pursuit of the winner, was unable to seriously endanger the latter after being shaken during the stretch run, but held on willingly to outgame HICKORY STICK. The latter was hustled into a contending position entering the stretch, but lacked the necessary rally. THUNDER HOLE raced evenly through the late stages without apparent mishap. FAST AND FAR tired. The latter, much used engaging for the early advantage had little left. AVON LADY was unable to improve her position during the late stages. MERMAN and MIGHTY SON both lacked early foot.
