UNCLE EDDIE, a keen factor from the start, took command from HERBS GAL before entering the stretch, then held on gamely during the drive to withstand BOOS COMET, The latter, never far back, swerved to the inside when set down through the stretch and was unable to overtake the top one. FOREVER HI lacked early speed, moved up boldly nearing the stretch, but could not better his position when set down in the drive. FEARFUL ODDS was outrun. BRIDGE CLUB weakly handled, was never dangerous. WAR SECRETARY tired. MISS BOXER weakened after racing wen to the stretch. GALAHAD began fast, but dropped out of serious contention soon after the start GREy IRON showed nothing. PURIFY bled badly during the running. OFF AT 4:17 EASTERN STANDARD TIME. . Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. FLICKA STAR, away sluggishly but much the best, was sent around horses entering the stretch and, responding to brisk handling, disposed of the leaders during the final furlong. ETERNAL GOIN gradually worked way forward, closed determinedly, but was not good enough for the winner. FINE FIDDLE took command early, set the pace to the last eighth jnile, then faltered. STAR K., never far back and saving ground, weakened during the stretch run. PSYCHIC DREAM began fast, raced with, FINE FIDDLE to the stretch, but had nothing left for the drive. CLOWNESS began fast, but failed to stay, racing quite wide during the last quarter mile. LITTLE DANNY showed nothing. CURRENT NEWS was through early. Scratched— 179243 Wolf Whistle, 119. BUMPSY UP, alertly handled, was forwardly placed from the start, moved up fast on the outside during the stretch run and, disposing of COL. CON, won going away. The latter took an early lead, settled in the stretch with a clear advantage, but was unable to stay with the top one. DIAMOND LADDIE, weakly handled, finished fairly well on his own courage. PEGGY D. took command soon after the start, settled in the stretch with a short advantage, then held on gamely under a strong hand ride to withstand TRIP NORTH. The latter, rank at the post, began alertly and was forwardly placed from the outset, and finished willingly, but could not overtake the winner. BE-MI-DEAR lacked early foot but .closed fast when set down through the stretch. AIR MISSION tired after making a mild bid approaching the stretch. BLUE" FAY had brief speed. KISSIN KATE, smartly handled, gradually worked way forward to the stretch, responded to brisk urging during the drive and, disposing of COLS DUAGHTER, held TRIP LIGHTLY safe. The latter drifted out during the last three-eighths mile and was unable to reach the winner. ETERNAL FROLIC stumbled immediately after the break, recovered under good handling and closed willingly under urging, but could not seriously threaten the top pair. COLS DAUGHTER took command early, set the pace to the final furlong, then weakened. ANGLEDOZER lacked early speed and raced wide through the stretch. MARSHAWEISTA could not keep up after beginning fast COMPENSATOR was never prominent. MAKE A NOTE failed to stay after engaging COLS DAUGHTER for a half mile.
