COLONEL SEVEN moved clear soon after the start, increased advantage when roused and won easily. GOOD COUNSEL rallied mildly in the late stages, but was unable to menace. UNCLE FUD broke alertly, remained in closest attendance of. the leader until the final furlong and weakened. BUZZ A BIT worked his way up along the inside from a slow start. WOODCHUCK JOE went evenly. CIRCULANT had no mishap. OXLIN showed nothing. SIA was never prominent. GATICA-LINDA retired early. KING SIGN raced wide and was never a serious factor. LATE RETURN broke alertly, was unhurried while maintaining a forward position early, moved between horses saving ground into the stretch and responded willingly to assume command in the final sixteenth. DIRECT MISTER moved in closest attendance of the pace before a half mile, vied for command and appeared to hang. BLEMISH disposed of TUFFEROO after three furlongs, was unable to shake off opposition and weakened in the drive. JAMES B., close up and saving ground, failed to respond to late urging. SWEET PICKINGS passed tiring horses. SCIPIO rushed boldly to near the leaders before entering the stretch and faltered in the drive. BRILLIANT MAID lacked early speed. ORGANDIE showed nothing. GILA RIVER was outrun. TUFEROO quit. TEDDY POWELL broke sluggishly, was outdistanced and was eased before a auarter mile. LONG EATON moved alertly to vie for command after three furlongs, bore in while under pressure in the drive and continued on gamely to hold BEDA BULL safe. The latter slipped through along the inside leaving the backstretch, and was vying for command when forced to take up nearing the sixteenth pole, then came outside and was challenging at the end. ASH TRAY, a forward factor along the inside, v/as engaging for command when the winner bore over and consequently blocked the passage of BEDA BULL along the rail, then recovered, but not in time to threaten. The stewards posted the inquiry sign and after deliberation disqualified LONG EATON and placed him third. UP THE RIVER rallied too late to menace. QUICK DEAL showed brief speed and weakened. GEORGE ENGEL was forced to lose ground throughout. FLYING FLEET challenged mildly and flattened out. THUNDERJET was outrun. FOURTH RACE 6 FURLONGS out of chute. APPOINTMENT closed with a belated rush on the outside to loom as a threat and failed W make up ground in the final yards. CHIC QUEEN rallied mildly from off the pace. TERRACE drew clear soon after the start, was kept in close along the brush and held on tenaciously after giving way! THREE CROWNS saved ground to. no avail. WANGAN failed to respond to Fate urging. TONES TRICIA improved her position gradually on the extreme outside. WAR FINISH, sluggish in the early stages, saved ground to better late position. TATARN made up ground along the inside. U CALL had no mishap. ORNUM weakened in the drive. HANNAKINS showed nothing. GALHAM drifted out on the final turn and weakened. SHOOTING BOX stopped after losing the lead.
