DEPTH n 0 for the most part of the early running and, catching the latter tiring in the final sixteenth, got to the front to win drawing out under pressure. DEPTH O. had the most early speed and weakened near the finish. AIR BATTLE was never too far away and improved his position in the stretch. ANNA CHARGE raced forwardly placed, but failed to threaten for the leadership. DARTING BROOK was close enough early, but failed to be a serious contender. STRONGPLAY was some distance back of the pace early, although racing in third place, then moved up to catch ERRARD BEAU an eighth out and take a good lead, but tired suddenly near the end and had to be ridden out. ERRARD BEAU was sent to the front at once and opened up a long lead nearing the stretch turn, then although weakening appeared slightly stronger than the winner at the end. TAROM made" up some ground to best the others. PENROSE was going fastest of all at the finish. I FROO went wide nearing the stretch turn. LADY RIDGEWELL failed to figure seriously. Won ridden out; second and third driving. DARK GRIER got to the front early, and going along well while not being unduly rushed but given free rein in the stretch, was not seridusly threatened. ROMAN SENATOR also displayed good early foot but was doing his best to hold JEFFREY J. S. The latter improved his position under urging and was going strongly at the finish. BRIGHT LARK finished fairly well. BLUE LEM also finished with good courage. GEMERICA, outrun early, was going well at the finish. IMPERIAL ACE and KING FOOT had early speed. JANES GAL was slow to get in stride and was outrun to the stretch, then came strongly on the outside to forge to the front in the last sixteenth and best GALLANT D. under urging. The latter was under restraint while racing close to the pace in the early running . and came gamely through the stretch. BUSY NOW got to the front on the inside in the early running and withstood several challenges from LADY OF CHANCE. LADY OF CHANCE moved up to BUSY NOW after entering the stretch, but faltered in the final drive. VEZLARK had some early speed. The others were outrun. PANADE was never too far away, and- finding an opening on the inside after entering the stretch, came through to challenge successfully and draw out in the last sixteenth. MOKATUCK moved up steadily nearing the stretch turn to get to the front after heading for home, but was unable to resist the winner. UDO REINACH dropped back as if through nearing the stretch turn, then came again on the outside in the stretch but weakened in the last sixteenth. BIG RESULT was close enough early. END0N was rated close to the pace to the stretch turn, then went to the front to open up a rather long lead, but appeared to sulk a sixteenth out and almost pulled himself up and was headed by RED ACE, then came again suddenly in the final fifty yards and was up to win in the closing strides. RED ACE dropped back nearing the far turn when in rather tight quarters, then saved ground on the stretch turn and, getting through on the inside of ENDON nearing the finish, appeared a certain v/inner but was nipped at the wire. EIGHTY NINE trailed to the stretch turn, saved ground to finish well. POCO RETO was unable to keep up. TYNER was unable to keep pace with the leaders and was never , dangerous. WISHBONE H had speed for six furlongs and then tired. THUNDERBIRD dropped out of it when the real racing began. Scratched— 15924 Super Devil, 107. BUMPER CROP was rated well up from the start and, saving ground where possible, headed the field after entering the final eighth to; draw out under urging thereafter. PICK AND PLAY was outrun to the stretch, then gained ground gradually. NIGHT-PHARA was closest to SEAWARD in the early running and held on fairly well. ADAMS OFF OX lacked early speed, was rather wide in the stretch and was unable to get up, although finishing well. FORCE OF ARMS closed well on the outside. M0RBIHAN saved ground entering the stretch. SEAWARD weakened in the run home, although not beaten too badly. CH0MBR0 was in close quarters repeatedly while trying to get through on the inside of BUMPER CROP.
