Won easily; second and third driving. DICTIONARY rapidly established a commanding lead, was not menaced while winning easily and came out of the engagement in a lame condition. BOFUS rallied to wear down the others. MR. HURRY made an early effort to race with DICTIONARY and quit. PUPPET failed to attain prominence. OUR TOPS gave way after racing well placed along the inside. DR. ALMAC could not keep pace. HEDDY B. raced wide. COLONY PAGE, well handled while rank in the early running, improved his position gradually to attain command in the early stretch and withstood an extended drive. FULTON MARKET saved ground, but was not good enough. CLEAN BROOM loomed a threat nearing the stretch and hung under pressure. KING POMP lacked a late response. BUTLER was unable to reach contention. SEA ISLAND attained a commanding lead after shaking off FAIRY SEA and quit badly through the stretch. JERSEY DEVIL quit. FLAMING LADY was outrun. The latter moved through along the inside to attain a slight lead between calls but was not good enough. SAGMON, slow -to settle into stride, closed best of all when taken outside for the final run. LIVE GEM was hard pressed for the lead and weakened in the drive. DARK HOLLOW lacked a rally. NEW DICE could not keep pace. SPEEDY IRV was outrun. DARLING DADDY broke in a tangle. MARCH CHICK rallied from far back, but was beaten off. GROUND FOG was never a threat. HARDINESS was through early, as was HELICON. SAND FLY held a clear lead in the early stages and quit. DARK PATROL, steadied after breaking alertly, was blocked while moving nearing the stretch, then recovered to close willingly. BUBOLA MOWLEE was always a factor and continued on well. WAITED made up considerable ground after being outrun early. CARRIER BOY was outrun. GREAT GUY set the pace into the stretch and quit. OUR ACE showed nothing. WESTOVER set the pace under rating, disposed of SOLAR SYSTEM and Just failed to last. MAJOR POMP was within striking distance but lacked the necessary response. BURNT CHILD was never a factor.
