Arctic Wind Provides Upset In Irish Two Thousand Guineas Special to Daily Racing Form THE CURRAGH, County Kildare, Ireland, May 26 Reuters. — Johnny Longden, Americas English-born saddle star, had his first mount since arriving from the United States on Monday and finished well in the rear on Frank More OFerralls Sound Barrier, a 25-to-l shot, in the Irish Two Thousand Guineas at one mile here today. This Irish classic provided a surprise result for John Thursbys 25-to-l chance, Arctic Wind, ridden by Mullane, turned back Tale of Two Cities, odds-on- favorite at 4-to-5 by one and one-half lengths. A fortnight ago Tale of Two Cities beat Johnny Longdens Epsom Derby mount. Blue Sail, over seven furlongs here. Arctic Wind, who is a son of Arctic Star and Cave of the Winds, always was well placed today, being among the early pacesetters which "included Longden on Sound Barrier. Calvero and Sharragh were disputing the lead when Arctic Wind passed j both smoothly and withstood the late burst from the English jockey, Billy Nevett on the favorite.
