Conditions Announced For Suffolk 21 Race Boston Doge Will Shoulder Top Weight of 124 in May 25 Event SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 11. — With the expected arrival of Paul Andolinos Boston Doge at Suffolk Downs this afternoon, racing secretary Gordon Morrow released the conditions under which the "Suffolk 21" will be staged at the Downs on Wednesday, May 25. The race, which is open to any three-year-old in the country, will be contested at six furlongs, and it is hoped that Boston Doges recent conquerors, Nances Lad and Informant, will be among the participants. Conditions as written by Morrow are as f ollow8 : Purse 0,000, winner to receive 1,000, ,500 to second. ,500 to third, ,000 to fourth. For three-year-olds, weight 124 lbs. Non-winners of two races of 0,000 each in 1955, allowed 3 lbs., two races of 1. / . ,500 each, 6 lbs., ,000 or two races of ,250 each, 9 lbs., a sweepstakes or four races other than maiden or claiming, 12 lbs., three races other than maiden or claiming, 15 lbs. Under these conditions, the "Boston Bullet" will carry the high weight of 124 pounds. Aside from giving the local patrons a chance to see their home-town champion again, Andolino is hopeful that Nances Lad and Informant will accept the challenge, so that the swift black son of The Doge can erase the only blemish on his record. The Boston-owned colt had won ■ 10 straight before meeting defeat in his eleventh start in the Swift Stakes at Belmont Park by Nances Lad and Informant.
