International Steeplechase Closes With 16 Nominations BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 11. — The 0 ,000 -added International Steeplechase, which will bring together leading jumpers from England, Ireland, France, Italy, Canada and the United States at about two and a half miles on Saturday, May 21, closed with 16 nominations. The locally owned chasers in the International are Mrs. C. E. Adams Errolford, Mrs. G. H. Bostwicks Hyvania, James F. McHughs Jam and River Jordan, M. B. Metcalf, JrT Beaupre, Montpeliers Shipboard, Mrs. G. L. Ohrstroms Prince Glorieux, Mrs. Ogden Phipps Ancestor and Neji, Powhatans Virginius, and Lawrence R. Troianos 1954 champion. King Commander. Of these, Prince Glorieux is a French importation, who was badly beaten by Carafar and Bavaria today. The English and Irish candidates "are Charles Knotts Chatham and Joseph Mc-Graths Beechpark. Prince Said Toussons Projectile and Ettore TagliabuesAIachia-vel, who recently arrived here, will represent France and Italy, while Canada is represented by Mrs. Vernon G. Cardys familiar Sun shower.
