Won driving; second and third the same. KY. GOLD took command early, settled in the stretch with a good lead but was briskly ridden thereafter to increase the advantage. TRICO raced evenly to the stretch, remained next to the inner rail for the drive and closed resolutely but was unable to reach the top one. ANIVRAM, rank during the post parade, gave a good effort ana had no mishap. BARRINGTON bumped with HAL MARBUT during the stretch run and could not get to the leaders. JOE WILSON lacked early foot but finished fairly well under punishment. MY PA PA tired after displaying early speed. HAL MARBUT was tiring during the stretch run when he bumped with BARRINGTON. MENOWN was never prominent. ACE TALON began slowly. SPECIAL CHOICE was through early. BET BUTLER showed nothing. WHISKAWAVE raced greenly. Won easily; second and third driving JET FLEET, under light restraint to the stretch, was then sent to the outside and, taking command, drew out to win with speed in reserve. GOLD FLASH, much used racing CYDS BABY into defeat, was unable to stay with JET FLEET but held on determinedly to best the others. SPUNKY lacked early foot and could not get to the leaders when set down in the drive. PLATTER SCOUT raced evenly until inside the stretch, then faltered. MR. POISE was never dangerous. CYDS BABY took an early lead, raced with GOLD FLASH to the stretch but had nothing left for the drive. MISS ROBBIN showed little. SENECAS FLASH was never prominent. LITTLE CUB began slowly. SIR LORTER. well placed from the start, responded to strong handling during the stretch run and was up to dispose of JOES BEST in the last strides. The latter, never far back, reached the lead between calls near the finish but was unable to withstand SIR LORTER. WISE PENNY finished willingly under brisk urging but was unable to overtake the top pair. PATTYCAKE KID, forced wide early, was sent to the inside entering the stretch and finished fast but could not reach the leaders. PLEASING went to the front soon after the start, settled in the stretch with a short lead but failed to stay when challenged by JOES BEST. VALLOU began slowly. INDAC had a rough trip. NORMAS FIRST raced wide ROYAL COLOR could not keep up. IRISH GREEN was through early. COFFEE CHAT showed nothing. CHRISIE MARIE raced greenly. Scratched-Black Beth, 109; 47505 Could Egret. 109. GOLDNOSE, never far back, reached the lead during the stretch run, swerved when caught in the jam caused by JOHNS HOPE, then recovered and drew clear to win with something left. HEDGEWOOD MISS raced evenly to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and closed strongly but could not threaten the top one. LAHEIM, forced to take up when crowded during the drive, failed to rally when finally clear. JOHNS HOPE, away slowly, was hustled after the break to reach serious contention, set the pace until inside the stretch, then bore out badly while tiring and crowded the leaders. TEXAS BULLDOG raced well to the final furlong, then faltered. PAWHUSKA lacked early foot. SHAITANI was never dangerous and had no mishap. LOCO showed little. OUR HINES steadily worked way forward to the stretch, was sent to the outside of STONE OF SCONE for the drive and, closing strongly under punishment, wore down the latter in the last strides. STONE OF SCONE, a sharp factor from the start, raced PHAR WISER into defeat after entering the stretch, remained next to the inner rail for the drive and closed gamely, but could not hold the winner, although much the best of the others! JEFFREY J. S., away poorly, was unable to reach the leaders when set down through the stretch. SWEET JOSIE tired during the drive. PARR was never dangerous and had no excuse. QUEENS RGERET raced with TALION for three-quarters mile but faltered during the drive. TALION tired after racing well to the stretch. HASTY FREEDOMS began slowly. EXTRAVAGANZA was outrun and had no mishap.
