Small Coffee Registers By Length at Pimlico Witchery and Reddy Ro Closest To Parr Colorbearer in Sprint By JOE HIRSCH PIMLICO, Md., May 11.— Mrs. Henry A. Parr m.s Small Coffee proved no cup of tea for a couple of Black -Eyed Susan nominees in todays featured Baltimore Advertising Club Purse. The fleet daughter of Eight Thirty, from the Bull Dog mare Pretty One, led through most of the six panels, scoring by a full length in front of Vincent Sheehy. Jr.s Witchery, with Barclay Stables Reddy Ro another head back. It was two and a half more lengths to Mrs. Samuel Lewins favored Wagan Drill, bet down to 4-5 fcy the 10,108 in attendance on this mild afternoon. Wagon Drill and Reddy Ro have been named for Saturdays Black-Eyed Susan, a traditional Pimlico distaff event. Duke o Hampton, a three-year-old Orestes IH., gelding from an American Flag mare, returned .60 for his second victory of the season. Cleverly rated by Eldon Nelson, he was held well off the lead until the far turn, attended the pacemaker at the eighth pole, and then raced to the score in the final sixteenth. Duke o Hampton was clocked in 1:46 tf for the mile and a sixteenth, and carried topweight of 118 pounds. The Butcher was hustled from the gate by Johnny Choquette and led from the onset until caught at the wire by the victor. Darling Daddy was closest to the leader through the backstretch, gave way to Duke o Hampton as they straightened for the wire, and the latter was able to wear down The Butcher for the tally. Titian Maid and Bubola Mowlee com-i bined to pay 4.00 in the Daily Double.
