Holds Back in Early Pace Huetel broke well but was taken back and Air Flight went out to make the pace, with Sub Factor and Cosentina in closest attendance. When Sub Factor raced wide on the second turn and carried Cosentina with him, Air Flight obtained a clear advantage that he held until the last bend was reached. Then Cosentina and Heutel headed him in that order, and Heutel gradually wore down Cosentina to get to the front near the finish. Bill Pac, about five lengths back of the leaders on the turn, seemed strongest of all at the end.
