Evans; bred by H. H. Horn. IN GATE-5:25. OFF AT 5:25 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. FELDA, held under restraint for the first half mile, was sent up on the outside thereafter to engage HILL STREET on entering the stretch, displaced that one while bearing out and prevailed in a sustained drive. ROBERT came to the outside to advance on the second turn and, after making a menacing rally in the early stretch, faltered. HILL STREET forced the early pace while in hand, wore down FLYING CIRCUS from the outside midway around the second turn, but had little left when the real test came. EQUILLA was never a serious contender. GUN POINT raced wide throughout. LANARK was always far back. FRENCH ADMIRAL was bumped and forced wide on the first turn and could not improve his position thereafter. Overweight— Felda, 1 lb.; Equilla, 2; Gun Point, 1; Hotrock, 5.
