ROYAL FAN, under restraint while within striking distance, moved on the stretch turn and, after racing wide into the stretch, recovered when straightened away to overtake BLACK MAIN in the final sixteenth. The latter disposed of JENJAY on the stretch turn and was unable to resist the winners challenge. BATTLE WAVE caught tired horses. JENJAY weakened, after attaining the lead. MISDEMEANOUR was outrun. The latter saved ground along the rail, made a determined bid in the final quarter, then weakened. DENNY closed with a rush. KING MOWLEE was outrun in the early stages and passed tired horses. NIMBLE LADY was close up in the early part and tired. RAZZBERRY was through early. HUNDRED PROOF was never a factor. FRIAR BILL showed little. MILANZA was outrun.
