Morris and Dan Van Clief worked as auctioneers? with such "spotters" in the crowd as John M. Gaver, Greentrees trainer. The biggest single sum was realized on the service to the stallion Spy Song, generously donated by Miss Mary Fisher. After spirited bidding, this went for ,000 to Frank Bishop of California.
