Roosevelt Offers Two Interesting Events - Justifying its membership in the Grand Circuit, Roosevelt Raceway is offering two features next week that are certain to stimulate the widest interest not only among followers of harness racing but with the general sporting public. On Thursday night, this progressive track will present its 5,000 Invitational free-for-all trot, the 11 prospective starters including the best of local talent as well as champion trotters Jrom Maryland, Detroit, Chicago and California. This will be the seventh renewal of the big race, and those who appreciate this branch of the sport are well aware that it has always furnished a spirited contest. On tthe following evening however, Roosevelt Raceway is sponsoring a distinct innovation in a match race be-i tween the two great four-yea_--old pacers, Adios Harry and Adios Boy, this to be at one mile for 0,000, "winner-take-all." For all the excitement aroused by the trotting free-for-all, the two-horse encounter that will follow -he more conventional feature is now hailed as "the race of the year" where pacers are concerned, while what Roosevelt Raceway stands to lose in reduced mutuel handle on the event will be more than compensated for by those important intangibles, "good will" and "word -of -mouth advertising "
