LITTLE DON G., away sluggishly, steadily worked way forward after the initial quarter mile, was sent around horses nearing the stretch and, after taking command, held a clear advantage to the finish while ridden out. FIFTY CARAT, in hand to the stretch, finished resolutely under urging, but could not get to the winner, although much the best of the others. SIDS BIRTHDAY raced nearest KINGS TIP to the stretch, but had nothing left when set down for the drive. KINGS TIP began alertly, set the pace until near the stretch, then gave way when challenged by LITTLE DON G. SO FAIR made a good bid in the early stretch, then weakened. UTARUM tired after showing early speed. STROLLING BALL was through early. FAIR BIT was never dangerous. JUSTA BREAK could hot handle the muddy track. PHAELATER could not keep up. FANCY-DEB, alertly handled, assumed command at once, raced ANN-MAR into defeat before entering the stretch, then continued gamely to hold FIREY IMP safe. The latter gradually improved position to the stretch, was unable to reach the top one but was easily best of the others. WINTER BOOK raced evenly for a half mile, then faltered when set down for the drive. KING FIDDLE gave a fair effort and had no mishap. ROSE AND HOUSE disliked the muddy track and was never dangerous. NAGS HEAD, away sluggishly, gradually worked way forward after the initial quarter mile, responded readily when hard urged during the stretch run and was up to dispose of MARTIAL SONG in the last strides. The latter moved up fast after the start, raced MARY LIKE into defeat and settled for the drive with a clear advantage, but could not withstand the winner. NOWADAY GIRL gave a good effort and had no excuse. MISS KIRK made a mild bid in the early stretch, then faltered. BERNROUGH lacked early speed and was never dangerous. MARY LIKE raced with MARTIAL SONG for a half mile, then gave way. SOME FRIEND began fast, but disliked the muddy track and steadily lost ground after the break. TEENABEE took an early lead, made the pace until inside the stretch but could not stay with the top one, although much the%best of the others. ROCK MAID II. lacked early foot and could not threaten the leaders when set down for the drive. MOON LOVE tired during the stretch run. JACKIE VAN had early foot but failed to stay. The latter, outrun to the upper turn, was sent to the outside of FUNFOR TWO for the stretch run, finished willingly but could not overtake the winner, although easily best of the others. BLARNEY JACK, a keen factor from the start, held on well to the final furlong, then faltered. EARLY FOOT took command soon after the break, set the pace to the stretch, then failed to stay when challengedby the winner. DAWNEY disliked the muddy track. OCALA GAL was through early. BETSY T saved ground from the outset, remained next to the inner rail and in the deepest going daring the stretch run and faltered in the last sixteenth. SWEET JOSIE, a sharp factor from the start, gave a good performance and had no excuse. PRINCE TRACE was outrun and had no mishap. BETTYS BEAUTY lacked early" foot. COLS DAUGHTER took an early lead, gave way to TONSINA when nearing the stretch, then steadily dropped out of serious contention. SHARBOT raced wide throughout. FOXIE JEANIE had early speed, was caught in close guarters nearing the stretch and, taken up sharply, failed to recover. ORCHID disliked the muddy track. MARYS FRANK swerved to the outside after the start and crowded GEOFFREY G., recovered and alternated with the latter in making the pace to the final furlong, then responded to punishment and, taking command, won going away. GEOFFREY G., crowded immediately after the break, raced forwardly placed thereafter, went to the front approaching the stretch and settled for the drive with a short lead but could not withstand the winner, although easily best of the others. FACES EAST raced evenly throughout and had no mishap. COLORADO FOX began slowly and could not handle the muddy track.
