Notes From Along the Banks of Stoner Greek PARIS, Ky. June 11— Countess Fleet, who was bred and raised here for her owner-breeder, Robert Lehman, again demonstrated the proficiency of Count Fleet fillies last Saturday when she won the 5,000 added Milady Handicap at Hollywood Park. The four-year-old daughter of Count Fleet had become her sires 26th stakes winner in her previous start by racing a mile in 1:36 to account for the Golden Poppy Handicap at Golden Gate Fields. » * * It is not surprising that Count Fleets first stakes winner and his most recent are fillies. For his dam, Quickly, was a sturdy, durable stakes campaigner, "and Count Fleet quite obviously inherited much from her. Between the victory of Our Fleet, Count Fleets first stakes winner, in the 1948 Frizette Stakes, and the recent triumph of Countess Jane have been many outstanding daughters of the Hertzes great stallion. Among them are Kiss Me Kate, best three-year-old filly of 1951 and a winner of 96,505; Atalanta, who retired with earnings of 27,280; Fleet Rings, Juliets Nurse, Sequence and Bella Figura. Count Fleets daughters are also making a fine start as broodmares and last year there were two stakes winners — Sorceress and Noble Risk — out of Count Fleet mares. Count Fleet was the .youngest stallion with two stakes-producing daughters. * * * Stoner Creeks consignment to the Keeneland Summer Sales includes two daughters of Count Fleet — a bay out of the young Blenheim H. mare Jittery Jane, and a roan from Obedient; a daughter of Mahmoud; There also are two yearlings out of Count Fleet mares. Both are by Spy Song — a colt out of Fleet Mammy, a filly from Fleet Ship. ;
