Noss, admissions director, is the latest of the key departmental officials to open their offices at Delaware Park and set up operational procedure for the 32-day meeting opening on May 29. Noss joins J. Gilbert Haus, racing secretary, and E. I. "Jim" Langford, mutuels department director, at the Stanton track. Haus returned to the base of operations following the close of stakes nominations on May 1 and plunged into a myriad of detail including preparations to receive the first equine arrivals on May 13. Langford and first assistant, Ross Cooper, have been at the track several weeks completing preliminary work vital to the smooth functioning of the department. An experienced basic mutuels crew is ready to take up duties. •
