; , Red God Works Six Furlongs hi 1:12 Over Belmont Strip ELMONT, L. I., N. Y., May 11.— Cain Hoy Stables Red God served notice this morning that he is fully recovered from a stone bruise suffered at Hialeah this past winter when the strapping three-year-old son of Nasrullah— Spring Run stepped three-quarters over this oval in 1:12. The colt was extremely impressive in his fast move, reaching the three-furlong point in :35, half mile in :47, and five furlongs in :59, following which his exercise rider eased him through the tinal eighth due to the rapidity with which he covered the early portion of his move. The Capt. Harry G. Guggenheim color-bearer campaigned in England last year as a two-year-old. winning, and being rated well up on weights in the English Free Handicap. He was returned to his native country this past fall and placed in training for this years three-year-old classics. A stone bruise suffered shortly after his succeesful debut in mid-February at Hialeah halted this program and forced his being turned out for a spell in Kentucky. Red God arrived at his Belmont headquarters just last Monday on the /same train that brought the unsuccessful Derby aspirants. Gallant Man- and Bold Ruler, back. Trainer W. C. "Woody" Stephens is pointing the colt for the coming Belmont Stakes and plans to give him his New York debut in the Peter Pan Stakes on June 1, if all goes well.
