TOP SPINNER went to the front soon after the start, continued well after being headed by DIRECT TINT on the backstretch, then after again taking over on the far turn, was passed by CHANSON nearing the stretch turn but once more headed the field in the last sixteenth and won under hand urging. DERMATOLOGIST was permitted to drop too far out of it in the first part and, although racing very wide in the stretch, finished fast and Was gaining. CHANSON acted badly before the start, then raced well to take command and open up nearing the stretch turn but weaVened near the finish. HAPPY TULIP went evenly. REIGH"S LASS went very wide on the second turn. DIRECT TINT had early speed. BLUE RENO made a powerful move on the outside after leaving the backstretch and took command in the middle of the track after rounding the last turn, but was doing his best to hold SIR CHATTER. The latter began slowly but also moved fast nearing the stretch turn and, although going very wide in the stretch, was gaining. LA BREEZE dropped too far out of it early and although making up considerable ground in the stretch, was not dangerous. HARD-SEA loomed up after entering the stretch and then weakened. TSA-TOKE, COWBOY and AMBALONG tired in the stretch. EQlTlALL was close enough early but flattened out in the last quarter. Scratched— 128162 Further Notice, 117; 13858 Feuding, 115.
