SEEBIT, under energetic handling early to gain command, saved ground a trifle wide while drawing clear and was all out to hold FUSION safe. The latter followed in closest pursuit of the winner, saved ground and was clearly best of the others. BIG PRINT had no apparent mishap in an even effort. REPELLED failed to seriously threaten. IRON HAND, steadied while being outrun for the first half mile, came to the outside to make his bid thereafter and, with a belated rush, wore down NATAGAR in the final strides. The latter, never far back, made his bid from the outside in the midstretch to wear down ATOM ROCKET and, in a stiff drive, just failed to last. ATOM ROCKET engaged HIPTU from the outside early, put that one away soon after leaving the backstretch, drew clear and hung as if short in the late stages. PATH OF GOLD was going strongly at the end to be easily best of the others. HIPTU was used up early. TUCKAROE bolted to the outer rail before going a quarter mile. MONTAUK was void of speed for the first half mile, circled his field when rallying on the second turn and was hard ridden through the stretch to earn a narrow decision. HUGO YOU GO, never far back, saved ground throughout and narrowly missed. RECEIPT loomed boldly from between horses on the second turn, was caught in close quarters soon after entering the stretch and could not gain when clear. KAPADOR rushed up on the outside rounding the second turn to gam command briefly a furlong out, following which he had little left when the real test came. KINGMAKER made the early pace while in hand, saved ground, came again after being headed at the half-mile ground to take a clear lead on the final turn and, while being ridden out gradually drew out. BEAM RIDER, unhurried while being outrun for the first five-eighths, loomed boldly when roused on the stretch turn but could not gain on the winner through the stretch run. PYLADES moved into a clear lead with a rush nearing the half-mile ground from the outside, continued wide thereafter and flattened out in the final drive. OH JOHNNY made a strong bid on rounding the second turn but had little left when the real test came. GREEK SPY was never a contender. PAPER TIGER wanted for racing room from the quarter-mile ground to the final furlong. FIRST SERVED was forwardly placed for a little over six furlongs and tired. THIRD BROTHER was always outrun.
