GLINKA, a sharp factor from the start, came to the inside to reachvthe lead inside the furlong marker and in a long drive gamely withstood YASHMAK. The latter responded readily when set down for the stretch run and rapidly was overtaking the winner. BOOTS improved her position next to the Inner rail to the stretch, but failed to make up appreciable ground when called upon for her best effort. STAR SHOW held sway to the stretch under energetic handling, then faltered. BUNDLRAB failed to stay. SELECTIVE was always between horses. LOST WEEKEND raced in closest pursuit, of OLD ROCKY to the stretch, lugged in through the late stages, but under adept handling disposed of the leaderrand won drawing away. OLD ROCKY held a clear lead when settled for the drive, was unable to withstand the winner when the real lest came, but easily prevailed over the others. TEXT rallied too late to become an endangering factor. SPARTAN QUEEN, fractious at the post, was unable to keep up during the running. TICONDEROGA quit. PRINCESS POLLY and TOURLANX were outrun. VIGOROUS made the pace to the furlong marker under hustling tactics, faltered when challenged and was no match for the winner. BLACKTYPE rallied too late to seriously endanger the top one, but worked out seven furlongs in 1:27. HADASSAH had no apparent mishap. KHUMBABA caught tiring horses.
