Board of Governors of Omahas Ak-Sar-Ben to Visit Centennial CENTENNIAL RACE TRACK, Littleton, Colo., Aug. 21. Centennial Race Track will play host to the Board of Governors of Omahas Ak-Sar-Ben oval, Saturday, August 22. The party of 10 "ambassadors" from the well known Nebraska track will include: Mel Bekins, president of Bekins Van and Storage Company; John Davis, president of Omahas First National Bank; Ed Hinton, general manager, Armour and Company; W. D. Lane, president of Ak-Sar-Ben and Central Fiber Products Corp.; Elworth Moser, president of TJ. S. National Bank of Omaha; E. F. Pettis, secretary-treasurer, Brandes Stores; V. J. Skautt, president of Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company; Art Stoddard, president of Union Pacific Rail Road; Jesse Thurmon, president of Evans Laundry Company; and J. J. Isaacson, general manager of Ak-Sar-Ben race track. The Nebraskans will arrive Saturday morning at Denvers union station and will then proceed to Centennial. At noon, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Robineau will entertain the group at a luncheon to be held in Centennials new Skyroom. Later in the afternoon one of the businessmen will be honorary judge of the fifth race named The Board of Governors. Saturdays visit of Ak-Sar-Bens executives will mark the second such get-together. The Nebraskans visited Centennial at approximately the same time last year.
