Stables Arriving Hourly At Narragansett Track Anspach Checks In With String Headed by Irish-Bred Soldier Son NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., Aug. 21. Horses continued to pour into the Gansett stable area Friday, fast filling the capacity of the tracks spacious barns for the 24-day autumn meeting which gets under way Monday and which, through all indications, promises to become the most colorful in the history of New England racing. With many of the more powerful stables already here, or on their way from distant points, veteran New England campaigners also descended upon the course in record numbers, bringing in horses that have provided the high spots of the New England racing season. Included among the trainers checking in with a formidable string was Eddie Anspach, annually among the leaders in the race for winning horses, Anspachs contingent was headed by the good-going Irish-bred colt, Soldier Son, who will-be pointed for several of Gansetts important stakes and attractive overnight allowance races. Also included in the Anspach string were Albany Fair, LiPs Joy, Nats Revenge, Defense Counsel, Eve, Royal Beaco, Dudley Darbury, Halara and Lees First. The veteran handicap star, Algasir, arrived with the group of eight owned and trained by H. A. Kimball, included in the Kimball shipment were Seaflash, Lightning Will, Lady Cheer, Lois Cheer, Royal Ghost, Tazewell and Step Forward. Jim Grieve vanned in his outfit from New Hampshire, dropping off Peach Bud, Suzanne G .and Sleep Jeep and continuing along to Atlantic City with his fleet filly Miss Joanne wholl be pointed for the 0,000 Miss America Turf Stakes, the only grass race in the country exclusively for three-year-old fillies. After that important engagement the .Challenge Me filly will be returned to Gansett for the scheduled stakes. Other capable regulars of this section registering this morning for the four-week meeting wereJimmy OBrey, Otto Bagley, W. C. Prickett, Don McCoy, Dick Gotts-man, Sid Bernstein, Paul K. Yee, Anthony Cataldo and E. O. Keen.
