TOP PRETTY took command near the half mile marker from GOLDEN MOMMY, then responded to good handling and held BON DURANT safe. The latter raced within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, finished willingly under urging, but could not get to the winner. GOLDEN MOMMY began fast, set the pace until "approaching the four furlongs marker, then weakened. JET LIZZIE was unable to threaten the leaders when set down in the drive. PURIFY was outrun and had no mishap. LAKEWOOD MISS lacked early foot and was never dangerous. SLEEK GIRL, on the outside throughout, could not reach serious contention. SPOTITRIG raced wide. GAY INTRIGUE, away fast and forwardly placed from the start, responded to strong handling during the stretch run and was up in the last sixteenth. DENBRU took an early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch, gave way momentarily to TOURING CHIP between calls, then came again, but was not good enough for GAY INTRIGUE. TOURING CHIP saved ground from the outset, bothered THREE STITCHES leaving the upper turn, then reached the lead between calls during the drive, but faltered when near the end. STAR K. was unable to better his position when hard ridden through the stretch. BLACK BOY lacked early speed. RECONTROL tired after racing well in the first half mile. WILKS LOSS showed nothing. THREE STITCHES, knocked back bq TOURING CHIP leaving the upper turn, failed to recover after the roughing. TICK-RICK was never a serious contender. JEANNA WAR was through early. EASY BELLE took command at once, entered the stretch with a good lead, but was hard ridden thereafter to withstand HY FRONT. The latter, forced wide at fhe first turn, recovered under good handling and gradually worked way forward, closed strongly, but could not overtake the winner, although probably best. SHAMROCK LAD gave a fair effort and had no mishap. LA MACHINE .failed to stay after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. PATTY LOU was outrun. MAMA MAUDE had no excuse. CHRIS ALMO, carried out at the initial turn, failed to recover. BESTOW lacked early speed and raced wide. DENE kBALMER showed nothing. COALIE began alertly, bore out badly at the first turn, then steadily lost ground. SIR TINT, on the outside throughout, finished resolutely but was not good enough for the winner. DONQUEST gave a good effort and had no excuse. WILL YOU DANCE saved ground throughout in a good effort. JOLISAM had no excuse. RAYS PRIDE raced wide from the start, losing all chance. BATTLE HERO began fast but failed to stay.
