j Eight Accept Weights In Dade Park Handicap Sonny Brown, Barts Enegry to Match Strides Again in Sprint By J. J. HAHN Staff Correspondent. DADE PARK, Henderson, Ky., Aug. 21. The Dade Park Handicap, honoring the, late starter, whose name adorns this racing plant, features the eight-race program here Saturday. In addition to the six furlongs headliner there are several other allowance races and in all, sums up as the best offering of the current 29-day meeting. In addition to the feature and allowance races there is a marathon affair, in which a capacity field, was named, to be staged over the trying one mile and three-quarters route. In the Dade Park Handicap, eight accepted the weights with C. B. Goochs Barts Enegry, winner of the Tri-State Exposition Handicap two weeks ago, and Early Traffic, from the stable of F. M, Ashby, renewing their rivalry. In addition to this pair are Sonny Brown, the beaten favorite in the Tri-State; Gin Gal, Mels Best, Jr., Ireland and Boutonniere. Top impost of 117 pounds has been given Sonny Brown, dropping two pounds from his initial start here. In the Tri-State the Creel Brown, Jr., colorbearer failed to come up to expectations and was on the outside of the leaders most of the way, could do no better than finish ninth in the 12-horse field. However, Sonny Brown did not run his race and there is a strong feeling that he will go better in the Dade Park. Because of- his surprise win in the Tri-State Barts Enegry is given 113 or four more than he carried in his only success here this season. The son of Saladin made one other appearance since his victory but found the one mile distance a bit too far for him when beaten last Saturday in the Governors Handicap, by Lancaster Lady and Early Traffic. Early Traffic has started twice at the meeting. In the Tri-State he was bested less than a length by Barts Enegry after forcing all the early pace, then came back in "the Governors last Saturday and landed in that same spot, giving way to Lancaster Lady, the last few strides after-head-
