The latter set the pace without serious early opposition and just failed to last REINFORCE broke tardily, was knocked back by LORD JEFF while racing on the inside leaving the backstretch, then closed fastest of all. SWORDCASE lacked the necessary late response. HALCYON CHANCE failed to threaten. LORD JEFF was rank while . being rated early and quit EXCURSION weakened. GREAT MOGUL showed nothing.
