No Application Filed as Yet j For Fort Miami Fall Dates j COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 24. The State Racing Commission as yet has received, no application for fall racing dates from the Toledo Jockey Club or any other group that may contemplate operating the Fort Miami track. Fort Miami conducted a 25-day meeting last spring, and, according to Ohio law, may run for 19 additional days any time before October 31. Prior to the spring meeting, general manager E. T. Keller mentioned fall racing dates in a letter to the Commission, but the board has never acted upon them, pending receipt of an official application from Keller. The spring meeting was marred by charge and counter-charges regarding the operation of the track, some of which emanated from the office of state auditor James A. Rhodes.
