, Large Field Is in Prospect For Tomorrows Princess Pat Queen Hopeful, Greek Lady; Spy Magic and Clear Dawn In Washington Filly Stake WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, 111., Aug. 24. Another large two-year-old field is expected Wednesday when the class of the juvenile filly hopefuls go postward for the fourteenth edition of the 05,000 Princess Pat Stakes, worlds richest race of its kind. Racing secretary Frank E. "Jimmy" Kil-roe said Monday that indications point to an even larger field than contested the Arlington Lassie. That race, a sister event to the Princess Pat, attracted 13. Both are carded at six furlongs. Hasty House Farms Queen Hopeful, victress in the Lassie, heads the field for Wednesdays sprint. Also expected are Mrs. Wallace Gilroys Greek Lady, who dead-heated with Queen Hopeful in a division of the Mademoiselle v Stakes, and Clifford Mooers Spy Magic, winner of the other half. Third in National Stallion Darby Dan Farms Clear Dawn is another Princess Pat candidate. The Heli-opolis miss -was third to Evening Out, ranking juvenile filly in the East, in Belmont Parks National Stallion. Stakes. Others likely to start in the distaff feature are Rex Ellsworths Chorus Khal, Mr. and Mrs." O. C. Neumahs Beanir, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Daniels Peggy D J. Emerys Cosentina, Mrs. J. A. Goodwins Oil Painting, Hal Price Headleys Fleece, Pierce and L. F. Hbltons Alifair and Mrs. J. A. Goodwins Roman Warbler. Still other Princess Pat candidates include Martin and McKinneys Kay Russell, U. R. Smiths Joycenjudy, Fred R. Stolps Black Main, Lewis J. Tutts Jenjay and R. W. McHvains Suthern Accent. AMORY L. HASKELL President of the Monmouth Park Jockey Club was at Randall Park Monday when he presented Mrs. Evelyn Hopkins with a painting of her handicap runner, Three Rings, who j won the Monmouth Handicap of 1949.
