New Atlantic City Records ATLANTIC CITY, Mays Landing, N. J., Aug. 24. For the second successive week end here, attendance and mutuel records were established when a throng of 32,367 wagered a total of ,824,340 on Saturdays eight-race program. Two individual wagering records also were set a high Daily-Double pool of 60,810 and a single race record of 01,985 in the second division of the Boardwalk Handicap. The total attendance for 11 days stands at 235,252 and a daily average crowd figure of 21,387, an increase of less than 1 per cent above the comparable 11 days of the,J952 season. The mutuel play reveals an increase of 5.7 per cent with a total handle of 0,490,105 and a daily average of ,862,737.
