Plan New Recreation Room THISTLEDOWN, Warrensville, Ohio, Aug. 24. As soon as practical, general manager Louis Pondfield announced that the old racing secretarys office at Thistle-Down will be converted into a recreation room for trainers and backstretch help. With all hands concentrating on the finishing touches and fitting out of the spacious new grandstand, the remodeling of the secretarys office will be held up until some time after the opening on September 11.
