Stewards1 Rulings WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, III., Aug. 24. Jockey Douglas Dodson was suspended for 10 racing days for rough riding in the ninth race of August 22 in a ruling issued by the stewards here today. The suspension is effective from August 26 to September 5, inclusive. HAZEL PARK, Mich., Aug. 24. The board of stewards ruled: "Apprentice jockey Albert Blache is suspended for 10 racing days, Wednesday, August 28, to Saturday, September 5, 1953, inclusive, for careless riding in the first race Saturday, August 22. His mount, Mist-O -Blue, was disqualified from third position and placed last. "Jockey William Owen is suspended for 10 racing days, effective Tuesday, August 25, to Friday, September 4, 1953, inclusive, for rough riding in the seventh race on Friday, August 21, 1953." ROCKINGHAM PARK, Salem, N. H., Aug. 24. The stewards here on Saturday issued the following: "It is recommended to the New Hampshire State Racing Commission that jockey Gerald Champagne be sus- pended 10 racing days, August 25 to September 4, inclusive." , CENTENNIAL RACE TRACK, Littleton, Colo., Aug:. 24. The stewards Issued the following ruling Saturday: Tor failure to keep his mount, Hunter Boy, straight in the ninth race on Friday, August. 21, 1953, after leaving the gate, jockey J. Thille is fined the sum of 5.00." WHEELING DOWNS, Wheeling, W. Va., Aug. 24. The following ruling was issued by the stewards here monday: "For crossing over on Miss Lovey, Miss Kingston and Piping Hot leaving the gate in the fifth race, Sundobullea, who finished first, was set back to fourth position. The official finish was: First, Miss Kingston; second, Piping Hot; third, Miss Lovey, and fourth, Sondobullea. "Jockey Sam Williams, who was astride Sundobullea, is suspended 10 days and denied the privileges of the track during race hours for rough riding both at the gate and at the first turn. He will be eligible to ride September 7, 1953."
