Sabette Drills Impressive Half Mile in :4735atSpa Prepping forTomorrows Alabama; Royal Vale Goes Same Distance SARATOGA, Saratoga Springs, N. Y., Aug. 24. The Belair Studs Sabette, one of the most prominent contenders for the, 5,000 added Alabama which will be decided Wednesday, took to the Spa track Monday morning and reeled off four furlongs in an impressive :47. Sabette, who accounted for the recent Diana Handicap in a convincing manner, defeating such clever members of the distaff side as E. P. Taylors Canadiana and F. E. Dixon, Jr.s Dinewisely, was under slight restraint during her brief trial. Mrs. Ben F. Whitakers Grecian Queen, generally regarded as the champion three-year-old member of her sex, most likely will receive Tier final prep for her- expected engagement in the Alabama Tuesday morning. Royal Vale, owned by Mrs. E. duPont Weir, was breezed a half hile in :5j3. The five-year-old son of Kinsway and Cora Deans is one of 28 nominees for the 5,-000 added Saratoga Cup, which is down for decision Friday. Royal Vale, however, has just been returned to training and he is not expected to be seen in action until the fall meeting at Belmont Park.. George Auerbachs Dictar and Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilts Indian Land received five-furlong tests. The former, who was second to Vanderbilts Native Dancer in the historic Travers, completed his assignment in 1:01. Indian Land stepped the five furlongs in 1:02. Neither was extended in his respective trial.
