Burmester Named U.S. Agent For Britains Parkside Stud FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 25. Bud Burmester, Texas horseman, has been appointed sole agent for Parkside Stud, one of Great Britains important thoroughbred establishments, in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Burmester is also to negotiate bloodstock transactions for Jeving-ton Stud, under the supervision of Miss S. Howard Collins, mistress of Parkside. Fairy Fulmar is top sire at Jevington Stud. Burmester recently acquired two yearling colts from Parkside for the Reynolds Brothers, Texas thoroughbred patrons, grandsons of the mighty Bahramare in New England with the Reynolds racing unit. They will be transferred to Texas in the fall. Burmester also placed a two-year-old filly, Cherub, by Fairey Fulmar out of An-gelist, by Solario, with G. R. White, Brady, Texas, breeder and chairman of the board of regents for Texas A and M College. White lias been anxious to acquire a foreign-bred filly for some time, and is particularly taken with the bloodlines of his new purchase. White was happy when the Ray Bell-Elwood Johnston two-year-old The Pie King won Englands famed Gim-crack Stakes. He said: "The Pie King is a son of The Solicitor, by Fair Trial, and my filly is by Fairy Fulmar, also by Fair Trial."
