Carlyle Cameron, Chase Rider, Injured Seriously SARATOGA, Saratoga Springs, N. Y Aug. 24. Steeplechase rider Carlyle Cameron, who was thrown bodily to the ground when his mount Repose stumbled and fell at the second hurdle in the third race on this afternoons program, was rushed to the Saratoga Hospital immediately after the mishap. Upon arrival the attending physician required 20 stitches to sew multiple cuts about the reinsmans upper face and lower lip. Further examination disclosed that Cameron sustained a severe concussion plus a neck injury of undetermined seriousness. X-rays were taken of his neck, but results were not available at this time. Cameron will remain in the hospital indefinitely.
