Two Allowance Races Top Program at Narragansett NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., Aug. 24. A pair of allowance tests will feature the program at Narragansett Park Tuesday with seven fleet three-year-olds meeting in the six-furlong sixth race and nine better-than-average routers are scheduled to match strides at a mile and a sixteenth in the seventh race. Greenacres Stock Farms Sherry L., with 109 pounds up, figures to attract the bulk of attention in the dash, mainly because the daughter of Occupation finished a good second to Christopher T. Chenerys Belluno at Rockingham Park last Friday. Belluno has no peer in the sophomore class in New England when it comes to sprint affairs and Sherry L., while no threat to the Bossuet gelding in that race, was -much the best of the others. Her rivals tomorrow include Broommaker, Hokey Pokey, Hunters Union, Roll Bama, Nice Try and Nancy Clare. In the longer event, styled for four-year- olds and upward, Mrs. E. A. Nicodemus Laran, narrowly defeated when poorly handled in his Rockingham finale, heads the line-up. Vigilant Stables Sailed Away, equal weight with Laran at 120 pounds, is capable of a better effort than that which he turned in when finishing back of Laran in their last outing. The War Admiral colt broke a long standing track mark prior to that race. The others in the middle distance event are Eternal Moon, 108; Caldwell, 120, Shell Diver, 115; Knights Reward, 108; Rebut, 108; The Minor, 112, and Rush Prince at 110 pounds.
