Complete Promenade Work THISTLEDOWN, Warrensville, Ohio, Aug. 24. Work was completed Monday afternoon on the lawn or promenade in front of the new ThistleDown grandstand. The lawn has been gently graded to provide both proper drainage and an excellent spot from which to view the races during the 44-day session which opens on September 11. Macadamized, the lawn is 110 feet deep and 1,000 feet long, stretching out past both ends of the grandstand and providing space for thousands of fans.
