The staging is the popular six furlongs and, while the contestants are of the ,500 claiming sort, the competition for the major part of the ,500 purse should be very sprightly. .. Comprising the group are C. J. Andrews Glow Gal, Creel Brown, Jr.s, Miss Mary Anne, H. B. Pieratts So Quick, S. D. and A. Shors Alam, W. Strongs Hard-Sea, J, C. Ellis Countess Miss, R. C. In here last endeavor, the Kings Stride filly went six panels in 1:13 over a fast track to be a length the best of Miss Minstrel. She was, however, disqualified for lugging in badly in the final-stages and Miss Minstrel was declared the winner by a ruling from the stewards. In her victory on June 6 and amid ,000, platers, she and jockey Howard Craig earned a good neck verdict over R. J. Win-tergersts Fumeur. She will undoubtedly be looking to redeem the disqualification and it is. quite probable that Craig will be even more aware of her tendency to lug in during the final stages. Glow Gal turned in a convincing two and one-quarter of a length verdict over S. A. Alexanders Fleet Reward Monday. She and jockey William Hubbard will again prove a formidable duo and should furnish the bone of contention to Miss Mary Anne.
