Fairmount to Stage Nine Races Nightly FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, HI., June 29. Ray C. Bennigsen, general manager of the Fairmount Park Jockey Club, Inc., announced today he has received permission from the Illinois Racing Board awarding the local racing association authority to stage nine races for the balance of the meeting, which comes to a close Friday night, July 22. The extra race will take care of the five events declared off on June 23 when a cable in one of the transformers burned out and jockeys refused to fulfill their engagements because of the semi-darkness from the five-furlong to seven-eighth post. . v .ii f i si- and , : c r j J i I l ?!
