Charles S. Rumley, Veteran Trot Driver, Dies at 77 PRINCETON, HI., June 29. Charles S. "Dad" Rumley, veteran trainer and driver of harness horses, died here Tuesday after an illness of three weeks. Rumley, who was 77, trained trotters and pacers for 35 years. He was a native of Oscaloosa, Iowa. Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Cpmpton, of Eureka, and Mrs. Roger Pierson, of Princeton, and two sons, Charles J., of Princeton, a harness driver whose stable is quartered at Sportsmans Park, near Chicago, and. Donald, of Columbusj Ohio. .
